When one speaks of salvation through belief in Jesus Christ, that Jesus is the son of God, died for our sins and was resurrected – what exactly do we mean by “salvation”? Does this mean salvation from death? Salvation from Hell? Salvation from Purgatory?
And if we must believe in these things to ensure salvation, what happened to good people like Anne Frank who died Jewish? Is there a second chance for these people and those who are never exposed to Christianity? I’m thinking also of a span of many centuries when there was no way to reach all parts of the world, and even now that we can, not all people hear the Word of God.
