What does the "it" refer to?

Deacon Ed:
Dave,

I agree with your analysis. As I mentioned in an earlier post the “gift” is grace which leads to faith which leads to salvation. This would be the “whole package” that you mention.

How does that seem to you?

Deacon Ed
Hmm, I think we’re not only on the same page; we’re in the same sentence 👍

Hi Deacon Ed! This is my first post on this forum and I appreciate the response to my inquiry. Now I need help!! How can you post without having the “Quote” from the previous person appear? Do I have to delete each time…it seems there must be an easier way!!
God bless…
Oh…yes, “it” refers to “grace”…and that’s my final answer;)

Instead of using the “Quote” button simply go to the bottom (or top) of the page and hit the “Reply” button. That will allow you to reply without quoting another post.

The “it is” in Greek modifies the last item, so it is Faith that is the gift. Faith (the gift, the “it”) is by the Grace, (manner or act) of God. In His grace He bestows faith. We cannot come by faith without Him, therein lies the beauty of “it”, faith.

Thanks Deacon Ed! I was in the “Thread mode” and that “Post Reply” does not appear on the page! So I switched back to the default mode and there she is!!! Thanks again!
God bless…
