What does this mean?

I am not of the Catholic Faith, but I have a question I would like answered, thankyou.

What does the term ‘special intentions’ mean if one writes that as a prayer request?

As I understand it, Baptists call it an “unspoken request” (I used to be Southern Baptist); it is essentially a request for prayer over a matter the writer feels is personal or does not wish to share with whoever will read the book. Hope this helped!

Thankyou, because I go to a prayer meeting where someone puts in a prayer request and writes, ‘special intentions’.
