Does anyone know why Jesus said these things when he was praying in the garden of Gethsemane?
Matthew 26:39 And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.”
or Luke 22:42
“Father, if thou art willing, remove this cup from me; nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.”
Thanks
