What does "we imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise" mean?

In praying the rosary, the prayer at the end contains “may we imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise?” Are there specific things that the mysteries contain that we can imitate and what are the promises of the mysteries?
 
Dear friend,

The Mysteries of the Rosary are all about the life of Jesus and our Blessed Mother. We are to imitate what Scripture teaches about them and obtain what it promises.
