What evidence in your life can you use to justify believing in the"real presence"

Or is it just what you were taught to believe?

One time I went to Eucharistic Adoration and this voice that only I heard sort of internally but it said Come on up there are empty seats up here… WOW. Only person around was one woman who was praying silently. She didn’t move when I came in…

Thr graces I am given, protections against sin, etc from taking the Eucharist.

The fact that there is a palpable presence in a Catholic Church and corresponding absence (ie. just another building) in a non-Catholic Church.

What do you mean by protections against sin? How would this concept manifest itself?

Say I am tempted by a sin.
But taking the Eucharist, it is like it is gone, and if it is not, it is easy to reject the temptations, for I have been given many graces.
That is what I mean.

So in short, a lack of temptation and/or a greater ease in rejecting temptation, at least for a time.

I grew up in a Methodist Church attending, household. There is no Blessed Sacrament. [NOT that I think people who are protestant are less devout.] But, there is a change that starts to come over a person when one just sits in Adoration.

The peace & serenity of mind & body that comes over me during quiet Adoration or after receiving the Eucharist. It’s the feeling of “Let go & let God”. No matter what happens to me; I know I’m in God’s loving embrace.

I had the same experience in EA a few years ago. So I usually sit up front.

I was at outside Eucharistic Adoration in Medjugorje a few years ago. I took a photo of the host in the monstrance on the altar. When I looked at the photos later I could see what looked like red blood and fire coming from the host. I have also witnessed the host with red marks on it like stripes at mass when the priest has elevated the host. I 100% believe in the real presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

Well a few years ago I was suffering from mental illness, hearing voices in my head etc. I was drawing closer to the lord at this time. During one mass it was like a hurricane of voices in my head, telling me negative things as I was about to receive the eucharist. I was determined to receive so I ignored what I was hearing. After receiving as I knelt down I was filled with the peace of the Holy Spirit and instantly the voices went silent. That’s how I knew Jesus was really present in the Eucharist. I experienced this same peace in confession as well.

I was protestant before, but after learning that Real Presence was always taught and believed, and saints testified to it, it was good enough for me.

(Is Eucharistic Adoration the same thing as Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament?)

This was so evident to me the first time I went back to my former protestant church. I was overcome with the feeling of absolute emptiness and sadness. I missed His presence.

Physical healing. Several times I have stopped after work at the Adoration Chapel. My headache was the worst from stress at work. As soon as i saw our Lord, my headache went away. Once I had a severe anxiety attack at Mass (early on, my family didn’t know I was considering converting) and as soon as the priest raised the Host, I experienced a calm like I’ve never had.

Hello.

That an addiction was immediately removed after going to confession. That I have much more peace when I believe and act upon those beliefs related to the Real Presence than anything else.

Miracles, past and present.

That after 2000 years the Catholic Church is still here, despite us.

Always liked that saying “there is no atheist in a foxhole.”

Hope this helps.

Reading the Bible, of course the road to Emmaus and the bread of life discourse. Yet the O.T. and Psalms, even Proverbs has passages that we can understand as Baptized persons, especially those Confirmed. Truly the living waters of Scripture can open our hearts to The True Presence.
Reading Thomist philosophers helped to give substance to the innate knowledge. Sadly, not understanding the right and just of worthiness when reverting to the faith presented me with the Pauline truth of bringing judgement. God is good and His mercy endures forever. Correction, repentance and absolution make His mercy present in a way something like His True Presence in The Eucharist.
What is not also became known by “infusion” when He let me know that He was not present in a schismatic church as I was passing by. Prayer for our separated brethren took on new meaning after this experience. Prayer works, pray for unity. Know He is there in The Eucharust in a unique way.

I don’t go seeking evidence for God’s presence in the host. When one has faith, one doesn’t need to see angels or hear a voice coming out of the monstrance. I just feel honored that He comes to be with me, a sinner, in that way.

I’d think it was pretty neat if God did let me see angels or something, but it is not necessary.

Nothing at all and I’m fine with it. I have faith. I don’t expect anything and would actually feel a bit intimidated if there was something.
