He married her when she was six and had sex with her when she was nine.

Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64:
Narrated 'Aisha:

that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).

There was 3 years between the time of the marriage contract and the time that he had sex with her, he waited for her to reach puberty before he consummated the marriage. It was not uncommon in those days for women to marry at the age of puberty, as was common in Biblical times. Even today in places outside of the West, it is still not uncommon for young ‘women’ to marry as early as age 13, after they have reached puberty.

“The large majority of Islamic jurists say that the earliest time which a marriage can be consummated is at the onset of sexual maturity…meaning puberty. Since this was the norm of all Semitic cultures and it still is the norm of many cultures today—it is certainly not something that Islam invented.”

Stupid article; why post such nonsense.
We really need to think before we post such inflammatory stuff.
I get the feel that the posters intent was to offend.
“Love thy neighbor” 👍

Numbers 31:17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.

Numbers 31:18 But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves. 😉

Okay, Kadaveri, please explain these verses to me. I must say, you’ve never been disrespectful of our faith, unlike some Muslims who post here, and that gives credit to you. I do want to apologize for a statement I made a while back, and for which I was reprimanded, regarding holiness and Islam. It was definitely uncalled for and uncharitable. I also apologize for any other disrespect I’ve shown you.

Vickie 🙂
Apology accepted. 🙂 And I extend an apology to you also, for the times where I haven’t been as patient as I should have been. 🙂

The first section Sura Al-I-Imran was revealed soon after the Battle of Badr. 3:28 is warning the Muslim community at Medina not to make alliances with any of the Pagan groups in Arabia, as their loyalty couldn’t be trusted; indeed with a couple of years the Pagans would go on to join together to attack Medina in the Battle of the Trench, so this warning proved wise. It can also be seen as a warning about the Hypocrites of Medina (people in the city who outwardly claimed to be Muslims, yet had no loyalty to Islam), who would later make alliances with Pagan tribes without consulting Muhammad, despite what the Qur’an said regarding this matter (thus exposing them). The only people the Muslims were authorised to make alliances with in this time were Christians and Jews.

As you can see this verse is talking about something very specific, and so should not be quoted on its own to people who are not familiar with the history behind it.

As for 5:51, I actually answered a query on this verse in an earlier thread on this site, so firstly I’ll quote my answer:

Kadaveri:
Muslims aren’t taught to not take Christians and Jews as their friends, this is a common misunderstanding frequently exploited by polemicists. The word *‘awliyaa’ *used in 5:51 doesn’t mean ‘friends’, it actually means ‘guardians, protectors, defenders, patrons, custodians etc’, though the meaning that fits best how the word is used in this verse is ‘overlords’ (anyone who knows Arabic will confirm this). The Qur’an isn’t talking about a personal friendship here, it’s basically telling Muslims not to have Christians and Jews dictate our faith to us. You’ll note further back in the same Sura Muslims are allowed to marry Christian and Jewish women, obviously that wouldn’t be possible if just being friends was forbidden.
It’s important to remember that most of the Qur’an was revealed in a time of war, when Muslims were being brutally persecuted for their faith. Verses criticising or attacking ‘disbelievers’ are rarely doing so in a general fashion, but are referring to people who are waging war against Muslims. This verse in Sura Al-Mumtahana qualifies what it’s talking about:

God does not forbid - regarding those who did not fight against you on account of (your) religion and did not drive you out from your homes - that you should show them kindness and deal justly with them. Verily God loves those who are just.
God forbids you only regarding those who fought against you on account of (your) religion and drove you out from your homes and helped to drive you out, that you turn to them. Whoever turns to them: these are the unjust
(60:8-9)

If it is true maybe Mohammed molested by a priest when he was a boy and it started a pattern.
That’s a totally uncalled for comment! As we all know, there has been paedophile Imams, paedophile Protestant pastors, paedophile Catholic priests, paedophile Jewish rabbis. Paedophiles always infiltrate places they can be seen as pure or holy, and use it as a facade to get access to children. As we all know by the reports of the Southern Baptist Convention paedophile scandal, the truth is there are many paedophiles who infiltrate high places to be above suspicion.

If you want an answer directly from a first-hand source, you need to read the book, “Islam and Terrorism,” written by Dr. Mark Gabriel (Anglicized name of former Muslim who converted to Christianity). He explains the “multi-purpose” aspects of a mosque ranging from a center of worship and learning to a fortress and training/staging arena for military efforts. The book is readily available from Amazon.com for around $16.00 or less (new or used).

There is no way to verify he was ever a Muslim much less anything else he says he is since he refuses to give his real name.

Hi

The Mosques are symbol of Peace and Worshsip of GodAllahYHWH.

The Holy Quran : Chapter 22: Al-Hajj

[22:35] And for every people We have appointed rites of Sacrifice, that they might mention the name of Allah over the quadrupeds of the class of cattle that He has provided for them. So your God is One God, therefore, submit ye all to Him. And give thou glad tidings to the humble,
[22:36] Whose hearts are filled with awe when the name of Allah is mentioned, and who patiently endure whatever befalls them, and who observe Prayer and spend out of what We have bestowed upon them.
[22:37] And among the sacred Signs of Allah We have appointed for you the sacrificial camels. In them there is much good for you. So mention the name of Allah over them as they stand tied up in rows. And when they fall down dead on their sides, eat thereof and feed him who is needy but contented and him also who supplicates. Thus have We subjected them to you, that you may be grateful.
[22:38] Their flesh reaches not Allah, nor does their blood, but it is your righteousness that reaches Him. Thus He has subjected them to you, that you may glorify Allah for His guiding you. And give glad tidings to those who do good.
[22:39] Surely, Allah defends those who believe. Surely, Allah loves not anyone who is perfidious, ungrateful.
[22:40] Permission to take up arms is given to those against whom war is made, because they have been wronged and Allah, indeed, has power to help them. -
[22:41] Those who have been driven out from their homes unjustly, only because they said, ‘Our Lord is Allah.’ **And if Allah had not repelled some people by means of others, cloisters and churches and synagogues and mosques, wherein the name of Allah is oft remembered, would surely have been destroyed. **And Allah will, surely, help him who helps Him. Allah is, indeed, Powerful, Mighty -
[22:42] Those who, if We establish them in the earth, will observe Prayer and pay the Zakat and enjoin good and forbid evil. And with Allah rests the final issue of all affairs.
[22:43] And if they accuse thee of falsehood, even so, before them, the people of Noah and the tribes of Ad and Thamud also accused their prophets of falsehood;

Paar,
As an Amahdi, if it was found a violent group using your mosque to recruit terrorists (I know that it is very unlikely, perhaps not possible, but play along), wouldn’t someone in authority do something to stop it? I know that your sect is a peaceful one, seeking understanding and communication with others not destruction of those who are different.

Hi

ProphetMessenger Muhammad himself as commanded by GodAllahYHWH demolished one such Mosque which was being used by certain miscreants as a depot of weaponry or for an ambush of the peaceful citizens :

The Holy Quran : Chapter 9: Al-Taubah

[9:102] And there are others who confessed their faults. They mixed good works with others that are evil. It may be that Allah will turn to them with compassion. Surely, Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.
[9:103] Take alms out of their wealth, so that thou mayest cleanse them and purify them thereby. And pray for them; thy prayer indeed is a source of tranquillity for them. And Allah is All-knowing
[9:104] Know they not that Allah is He Who accepts repentance from His servants and take alms, and that Allah is He Who is Oft-Returning with compassion, and is Merciful?
[9:105] And say, ‘Go on working and Allah will surely watch your conduct and also His Messenger and the believers. And you shall be brought back to Him Who knows the unseen and the seen; the He will inform you of what you did.’
[9:106] And there are others whose case has been postponed pending the decree of Allah. He may punish them or He may turn to them with compassion. And Allah is All-knowing, Wise.**
[9:107] And among the Hypocrites are those who have built a mosque in order to injure Islam and help disbelief and to cause a division among the believers, and to prepare an ambush for him who warred against Allah and His Messenger before this. And they will surely swear; ‘We meant nothing but good;’ But Allah bears witness that they are certainly liars. **[9:108] Never stand to pray therein. A Mosque founded upon piety from the very first day is surely more worthy that thou shouldst stand to pray therein. In it are men who love to become purified, And Allah loves those who purify themselves.

What a ridiculous reply! You are grabbing at straws! Many ex-Muslims use aliases for fear of reprisals from members of the religion of “peace”.

Paar,
I was expecting the yes answer, but not a quote from the Koran. That is very interesting. So, the misuse of Mosques is not a new thing at all, and should not come as a surprise to anyone.

IN your country, is this a problem? I would think that Amahdi have separate Mosques from other sects, so you might not be able to speak on their situation.

Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64:

The Young Marriage of Aishah(peace be upon her)
How can you possibly believe that a 9 year old is mature mentally or physically for sex? A 9 year old is a CHILD! Aisha was still playing with dolls at the time. It must have been a terrible experience for her!

What brutal persecution do you mean? From what I’ve read, it seems the other way around, that it was Muhammad that was doing the persecuting most of the time. Would you explain that further?

Well there is no way to verify he was an imam or anything he says he was, he may have been a Christian all his life for all we know. People lie all the time to cash in on hot topics.

I’ve read the reply again but have questions. You stated that Muhammad was allowed to make alliances with Jews and Christians but the verse I quoted states the opposite.
By ‘disbelievers’ it’s referring to the Arabian polytheists, so Jews and Christians (being monotheists) aren’t counted. HERE is an example of an alliance Muhammad made with Christians during this period, if you’re interested.
What brutal persecution do you mean? From what I’ve read, it seems the other way around, that it was Muhammad that was doing the persecuting most of the time. Would you explain that further?

Vickie
Well for example, slaves who accepted Islam were beaten and tortured by their masters; the Quraish enforced an economic boycott of all Muslims in their city to starve them (Muhammad’s wife died because of this boycott), the Muslims were all forced to live in the desert for three years due to persecution, several of Muhammad’s companions were murdered (the first of which was Sumayyah bint Khayyat). Muhammad was famously hunted down in the desert after the Meccans attempted to kill him but discovered he had escaped the night before and had made for Medina with his friend Abu Bakr, and would have been killed on his escape when they had hidden in a cave with their hunters outside, but soon after they entered it a spider made a web at the entrance of the cave so when their hunters peered in they saw the undisturbed web and didn’t search it.

Muhammad was in no position to be persecuting anyone.
