What exactly is Christian Science?

Hi,

Is Christian Science an actual religion or is it just a philosophy on how to live a more healthy lifestyle by following Christian scripture? Can one follow Christian Science principles and still be a follower of another church such as Catholicism? Are there any current members or ex-members present on this forum. Could you explain Christian Science to me? What is good/bad about it?

It’s another quasi-Christian sect, like the Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons. It has some of the trappings, but has a few heretical points. For example, they don’t believe Jesus is God.

The following link is a ministry set up to get Christian Scientists to move into mainstream Christianity, with several ex-C.S. members in its ranks. You’ll probably have to keep clicking on various links to get an overview, but that’s up to you. I’m not really interested as I don’t think it has much influence these days.
