What exactly is confirmation, and how is it different from “being received into the church” and first communion?
Confirmation is a Sacrament through which we receive the Holy Ghost to make us strong and perfect Christians and soldiers of Jesus Christ. The effects of confirmation are an increase of sanctifying grace, the strengthening of our faith and the gifts of the Holy Ghost, which are wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude knowledge piety and fear of the Lord. What exactly is confirmation, and how is it different from “being received into the church” and first communion?
Someone has their Baltimore Catechism well memorized! In Holy Communion we are united to Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. Christ is wholly present in the Eucharist under the appearance of bread and wine.
