What exactly was prophecy?

What is real about prophecy? Would it be knowledge? And how is it knowable? Tell me how Gnosticism does not pertain to ‘knowledge’
 
I’m a Christian, I’m not a Gnostic. Read the link I posted, I’m not a part of that at all, Jerk!

Ok. I am not accusing you of being a gnostic. But to discern secrets of any kind coming from God can be denoted as neo-gnosticism.
