What fallacy is this?

Why do you think it’s a fallacy, as opposed to a false statement etc.?

Maybe it’s not a fallacy. I thought there is one there. I was thinking it might be the fallacy of appealing to emotion or avoiding the issue. What rights is the bumper sticker referring to? The right to life or gay rights? If it’s a false statement, how? I thought it’s a question, not a statement.
 
I don’t see it as a fallacy…but it does make a pretty uncharitable assumption/suggestion about people who are anti-abortion. It implies that we don’t believe a person with same sex attraction has a right to live…which is a terrible thing to suggest.

Just because we don’t support gay “marriage”, doesn’t mean we believe that a person with same sex attraction should have been murdered in the womb. 😦
 
Gotchya…yeah it is pretty vague. It seems like it’s addressed to pro-lifers, so ‘you’ probably refers to a pro-lifer. So, it’s suggesting a pro-lifer doesn’t think gays have a right to life, in which case it commits the fallacy of constructing a straw man.
 
I think it’s saying that if you as a pro-lifer save a fetus that turns out to be gay, will you then continue to fight for his/her “rights.” I could be misreading that though…

That’s exactly how I read it too. I assume the rights he/she is referring to are gay rights and not the right to life.

Yea I do too. I’m not sure how in the world someone could compare the two issues… One is an inherient human right to life, the other is the promotion of a sinful lifestyle that is directly opposed to God’s will and most likely has negative consequences for those that practice is be it body or soul…

Yes, I see the point of the message now. The answer would still be ‘yes’, but we may disagree on which rights should be fought for. 🙂

I think it belongs to a gay person, wanting to see gay marriage legalized.

I think it also is saying that gay people are born gay, which I for one don’t believe, I think its a product of enviroment.

Saying that I do know of scientific cases where a child has been born with both sex organs and they wait till the age or 7ish before doing surgery to see which way the child is most leaning towards.

A silly question and poorly written…

I will fight for the right to Life - Eternal Life -
The Child has a right to be born. The person thus born has the right to choose it’s own lifestyle (free will). I have the right to suggest, preach, pray and otherwise encourage right choices by that person so that they attain eternal life in heaven.

Th Bumper sticker is good in that it makes one think a bit, but it very quickly reveals the poor information/viewpoint of the owner of said sticker.

I think the fallacy is equating the right to life with the right to same sex marriage.

One is a right given by God, the other is a “right” demanded by some which is part of a larger movement that devalues the family and weakens the fabric of our society.
