Wherever two or more are gathered in my name, i am there. Said Jesus

I really can’t vote for either option. I love aspects of both the OF and EF. My preference though is the Anglican-Use mass or the OF celebrated Ad Orientem with more traditional hymns, Latin prayers, etc.

I can’t vote in your poll. I love them both. I am blessed to live in a diocese where I can attend the EF regularly. Not everyone has that option.

If I had to choose I’d prefer this:
the OF celebrated Ad Orientem with more traditional hymns, Latin prayers, etc.

I prefer the OF; albeit, the OF celebrated very traditionally (chant, ad orientem, etc.)

We’re not Protestants. It’s not about a so-called preference for how we want to worship God. We worship in the way in which the Church handed down to us through the centuries the immemorial old Mass. The traditional Mass better illustrates the Roman Catholic faith. It’s not what we personally prefer. If I prefer a certain type of worship that I might as well join some Protestant sect.

So you prefer the Novus Ordo closest as possible to the Tridentine Mass? It seems you may be mistaking yourself…

I’m Ukrainian Greek Catholic but if I couldn’t attend the Divine Liturgy I’d go to the EF(TLM) in a heartbeat.

I used to go to 6:30 a.m. daily Mass (OF) at the local RC church near me.

10+ years ago, after the 6:30 a.m. Mass, two elderly ladies were yakking away in church while I’m trying to pray. I tried to ignore them but was so angry that they were talking in church. So I got up, went to them and told them off along the lines of “You were raised properly - you should know better than to talk in church.” They finally shut up.

Since then, I haven’t gone to the 6:30 a.m. Mass. I MUCH prefer the Divine Liturgy/Qorbono/EF.

While I understand the point you’re making and mostly agree, for some it really is a preference. Our family has the OF and EF available locally on Sundays. If not for a preference, how would we choose which we’d go to?

I’m sure they did—out of shock, if nothing else.

My preference would be novus ordo in Latin. Not available here, though.

This type of poll is a waste of time and it simply sets out to provoke heated arguments.
How many threads do we have already where we end up with flagged posts and deletions?

Well, it was certainly shockingly uncharitable. That’s the kind of behavior that drives people from a parish.
