What happened to Mary in the last years of her life?

Hi All,

What happened to Mary after Jesus went to heaven? I’ve heard that Peter built her a house in Turkey. Is this true?

Well the Bible indicates that she lived with John for the rest of her life, but I’ve heard of the house in Ephesus (now Turkey).

Don’t know about Peter building it, but I imagine all the Apostles had great affection and respect for her.
 
you can visit the site where the house allegedly stood- it is also claimed that the lowest part of the walls are the original, the rest being rebuilt later on.
i have been there. I am a bit sceptical about how it actually got there (the angel story just doesnt convince me) but it is a pleasant place to visit and even if it isnt her real home, it is a good place to reflect on what her life might have been like anyway.
