What happens during confirmation?

Hi, I’m currently in RCIA. I understand the purpose of confirmation and what we receive spiritually and all that hoopla What I’m asking about is the actual nuts and bolts of the ceremony. Could someone give me a walk-through of what actually happens in the mass? Do we have to kneel in front of the bishop? What will my two sponsors do?

Here is a parish that has the Rite online. Keep in mind that some of the prayers might be different (since there are sevearl to choose from) and readings, hymns, etc, will likely be different… but this does outline the Rite and shows what the bishop (or in your case, priest) does and the candidate’s responses, etc.
