What happens if my mom told me I couldn’t go to confession when i needed to

What happens if my mom tells me that I cannot go to confession when I have a mortal sin on my soul? Will I go to hell?
 
You are oing to far, with the comparaison with witchcraft.

If a have obey my mom, I had never go to mass as a teen. I had never go to youth catholics groups, I had never read catholics books, I would have never made my preparation to the sacrament of confirmation.

So, If I could myself, i just do myself, or my father transport me.

I would have to life as an atheist my teenage years If I had obey my mother.

It would have been a nightmare.
 
Many priests will have confession before Mass. Just go early and talk with him.
 
I don’t think it’s compatible to whichcraf… Yes, we are supposed to obey our parents but if what they ask will lead to a mortal sin then I think it is ok to say no.(this is going on how old you are too).
 
If you want to go but your parents forbid you, you’re fine. You have the desire to go, but someone (and someone who is supposed to be looking out for your spiritual wellbeing) is preventing you from doing so.

Hopefully this was a one time thing and she doesn’t make a habit of this. There would be no sin on your part, but she could be held accountable for it at her judgement if it was unreasonable for her to deny you.
 
I’m all cases, except if they command you to do something sinful. In that case, you’re bound to disobey.

So to conform forum rules, you will have your answer: obey your parents. We are not allowed to give more advises here.
 
I don’t think you are obligated to obey your superiors or parents when it goes against the Church and going to Confession in a state of mortal sin is very important.
 
Try asking your mom why she doesn’t allow you to go for confession, and explain to her the reason why you need to.

Do you both get along well?

Personally, I have a similar experience. But I insisted, and my parents gave in eventually.

First off, how old are you? If you’re under age (child, pre-teen, teen), then you must obey your parents as long as you’re living under their roof. If you’re 18 or 21, whichever one recognizes you as an adult in the State you live in, then you are able to make your own decisions.
 
I don’t argue that kids are called to obedience, but at the same time, parents are held accountable by the supreme judge for their childrens spiritual upbringing.
 
Try to make an act of perfect contrition, pray, and go to confession as soon as you are able to.

For starters perhaps silently recite this prayer and mean it:
My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart.
In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good,
I have sinned against You whom I should love above all things.
I firmly intend, with Your help, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin.
Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for our sins.
In His name, my God, have mercy. Amen.

Make an act of perfect contrition. Get to confession as soon as you’re able (even if without your mother’s knowledge). Obviously, those who think obedience extends to not receiving the sacraments which are normatively required for salvation are ignorant and lack understanding of basic moral theology.
 
Didn’t you post something somewhat controversial when you first joined.
 
I was on the board for years before I ever posted. I’m just saying that, often, someone joins and immediately posts something that stirs controversy, and then disappears.

We don’t know if the poster is a minor. Or Catholic . I’m just innately cynical, I guess.
