What happens if you die before making confession?

I see that question has been asked before, but the question seems to have been taken out of the context in which I am asking. For example, if you committed a sin, e.g., having feelings of envy or any other mortal sin, and you have every intention of confessiong, but die, e.g., in a car accident, before getting to the Church to make your confession, do you still go to hell? Do we have an opportunity after death to ask for and receive forgiveness if that was our true intention before dying?
