What happens to Church if the Pope and Vatican are exhiled and leveled?

Christ already said His kingdom is not of this world. While there are sentimental and historical reasons for the Pope to be in the Vatican, its not essential to our faith at all. The Pope will just set up shop somewhere else

If you want to see how this situation would happen, just look at the Ecumenical Patriarch of the Orthodox in Turkey. He’s in a predominantly Muslim country and the Turskish would not allow a Bishop to take residence there who is not of Turkish citizenship. So if he passes away and they would need a new Ecumenical Patriarch to take residence in historical Constantinople, they’d have to find one who’s Turkish. Not an easy task in a Muslim country.

Technically he can, he has universal jurisdiction. The Archbishop of LA don’t. Of course the Pope won’t abandon The Vatican without a good reason. Persecution may be a good reason, but lets all pray it doesn’t have to come to that.
 
If you have just one Catholic living in a place like the Diocese of Spokane when everyone else is not Catholic, you can still say the Church exists in the diocese.

The Church is compromised of the believers.

A celibate Catholic layman can become a cardinal and be elected to the papacy. The cardinals wear red because their office is particularly called to protect the believer to the point of death and bloodshed.

Well, the Church can’t move the home of Peter because Peter’s dead…
I can envision a scenario, however, when Rome becomes a titular see…
