What happens when the host isn't being adored?

What is happening to a host while it is not being actively adored by anybody on earth?
 
It remains Jesus Christ, present body, blood, soul, and divinity, under the appearance of bread. So long as the appearance of bread remains, so remains the Real Presence, which is not dependent upon recognition or adoration to determine its reality.
