King Alfred, your comments on the “sneaky little additions” reminds me of my parish. Around the time of the Our father, A large majority hold hands and then at the Doxology, they all raise their hands up. I have yet to figure if they are imitating the priests posture or what. With regards to genuflection, Alot of folks seem to be embarassed to be seen kneeling in reverence in front of others. Plus, sometimes it seems like the clergy aren’t sure whether to bow or Genuflect. I have seen Priests behind the altar facing the back of the tabernacle, and then bow to it rather then genuflect. It’s confusing to me
