AHHHHHHHHHH!!! :cringe:
I think this type of sentiment is the reason for this thread.
You know, for a while, I didn’t do what I was told to do (part of it…MOST of it was lack of funds, and, I still make excuses for my desires (not always sins, though, you understand)) because it wasn’t until a priest told me less than a month ago, in the confessional, “It’s not about you.”

That’s the best thing I could’ve ever heard and I try to remember it everyday, if even imperfectly.
I try to share that with others.
Anyway, I thought this thread was doing exactly that, admonishing the sinner and instructing the ignorant. The OP has done his (his?) part. It’s up to the rest of us to fix ourselves…and help others.
In the meantime, I’ve started a thread in the Prayer folder. [/
Moreover, though, I’m asking for a novena on this thread as well, particularly for Farsight001. A Rosary Novena. To begin tomorrow, 9/11/10, because I want all who have been following THIS thread to know about it, including the lurkers. I am starting this tomorrow, and asking all others to as well, so that it does give everybody time to know about it, but, still, it’s done fairly quickly, as this person needs prayers right away. From witnessing an abuse of Christ and thinking it was great …well, really, that’s all. Whatever has been said to me or to others is not important, but, not seeing that Christ should NOT have been subject to that should make all here concerned. THIS is why I’m asking for the Novena. That this person understands how to behave in Church and how to feel sorrow or righteous anger when Our Lord is disrespected.](

Why did I make you cringe? Why would me saying that when we go to Church it should be about us? Us and God. Why do you go to Church, to see what people are wearing? I think when someone goes to Church as I stated it should be about our relationship with God, us and God. Not what people wear. Sorry if that makes you cringe.
Guess I am just way different from you. I am just happy to see people go to Church:shrug: I could care less as I stated what they wear. I feel what you wear, or what you do is between you and God and no one else should be in Church worrying about what you wore.
You remind me of a sermon Father had once in Church. He talked about the Man who went to Church, rode home, and talked all day on what people wore, who went to church, who missed church, who went out the night before etc. What neighbor did this, who was doing that etc. Do you go to Church to be with God and ask for forgiveness or do you go so you can judge others. Who is the bigger CHristian the one who goes to Church and judges others or the one who missed that Sunday but sits home and minds his own business???
Not that I ever feel that I can miss Church on Sunday. But its not for me to worry about what others do. I can only speak for myself.
