Neither Protestant’s or Catholic’s know how to interpret scripture.
People who let churches interpret scripture for them are usually misled into believing lies. They are all biased.
When Jesus returns, Protestantism and Catholicism will be abolished!

That is exactly as to what Muhammad prophesized in Hadith about ** Second Coming of Jesus **, I quote it herein below (no offence intended):
Yushaku man aasha minkum ianyulka eisabna maryama imamun mahduyyun , hakamun iadualun yakserus saleba wa yaktulul khinzera

One who would be alive (at that time), he would meet Issa (JesusYeshua) s/o Maryam (MaryMerium) in the position of ImamMahdi (DivineGuided), a truthful judge (among faiths/religions); he would break the Cross (with arguments) and kill the swine. (Masnad Ahmad 156/2)

Abu Hurairah narrated from the Prophet Muhammad SAW that he said:
I swear by Him in whose hands rests my life or death that you would definitely witness advent of the Ibne Maryam (Son of Mary); a truthful judge (among faiths/denominations/religions), he would break the Cross (with arguments) and kill the swine and suspend the war (for religious conversion).(Bukhari Kitabul Anbeya, Bab Nazul-e Essa Ibne Maryam)

What I love about Catholics:
-Their faith has so many avenues of worship…sacraments, sacramentals, devotions, intercessions…
-Their churches are often beautiful, with stained glass and artwork.
-They are very loving and accepting.
-Even if you don’t know the order of their services, they have a book that tells you step-by-step.
-Every church in every location is praying the same prayers and reading the same scriptures on any given day.

That’s why I posted this thread…sometimes, we see things in each other’s faiths from “other” eyes and can verbalize something that we may take for granted in such beautiful terms.
I hope that my words about Protestants may make some see the beautiful things in their own faith or in the faiths of other Protestants.

Then you prove your faith and they go back and look into why they believed what they believed and begin to question their sources and thus, a candle is lit in the darkness.

A peaceful and honest discusssion definitely lits a candle in the darkness of confusion; such a dialogue, contrary to a debate, alway opens windows or doors to the sun of truth.

I think it is some sort of this phenomenon which is mentioned by Muhammad in one of his Hadith regarding Second Coming of Jesus, I quote a part thereof herein below, for benefit of the friends here:

At this very time that Allah would send Christ, son of Mary, and he will descend at the white minaret in the eastern side of Damascus wearing two garments lightly dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two Angels.
(Sahih Muslim: Book #041, Hadith #7015)

**The PromisedMessiah 1838-1908 **has explained that this **minaret **is of rational, reasonable and brilliant arguments given to him by GodAllahYHWH that would enlighten the whole world.

Hannah, find a Church where you will be fed.

If you’re truly interested in a Catholic experience, find a good Catholic Church. It’s like choosing a mate…find one that fits you. All the protocal will be valid, but not all Churches are the same. Some may have lukewarm Priests, some may have very engaged Priests. Some may have Priests who just do what is required of them, some may have Priests that go beyond the call fo duty.

I am fed at the Protestant church I attend when I’m at home. I go to Catholic Mass sometimes at my college’s chapel/church, but so far I have found I get much less out of the sermons, and it is kind of odd going to a service revolving around the Eucharist when you cannot receive. Since I have no car and no friends that I know of going off campus for church services of any kind, I’m rather stuck.

Mohammed added to what had his own dillusions after occurrence some 600 years after Jesus.

Jehovah’s Witnesses are not Protestants. They are an Arian based cult. There is not a Protestant that has ever considered JW’s Protestant. Protestants are Christians, JW’s (and Mormons) are not. The Catholic Church doesn’t consider JW’s protestants either.

The JW’s were founded by Charles Taze Russell how was raised a Presbyterian. I’m not exactly sure of the path but do know that it was out of the Seventh Day Adventist that he and another founded the JW’s. I would say if you trace them back they do have direct links to Protestant denominations.

Christianity revealed the 2nd coming of Christ 600 years before Mohammed did.

What Mohammed did was use what he learned from Christianity and added unto something that already existed as a belief of The Christian Church (Jesus’ 2nd coming).

I was referring to the Catholic services that you attended when you felt unfulfilled. I didn’t meant to include the Protestant services you attend. I cannot comment on your personal experience there because I’m not a Protestant, but I can speak with more knowledge on what you experience or lack experiencing in a Catholic service.

When you get a chance, forget about the Mass. Make a special effort to attend Eucharistic adoration.

Don’t go expecting anything.

Just place yourself in the presence of The Host and talk to God directly.
