What I love is the fact that some of them prove many anti-Catholics’ claims wrong. For example, many anti-Catholics claim Catholics put stock in emotion over fact and intelligence. Actually, that’s the case with Mormons and their “burning of the heart” belief. Another, example, many anti-Catholics claim Catholics worship the angels and saints. Actually, that’s the case with the mother goddess-ists and their adoration of the Blessed Virgin.

Well, I agree that those things aren’t really accurate examples of CC belief. But your logic is very flawed.

There is no logical reason that worship of angels and saints couldn’t be true both of some pagans and Catholics. It’s not like there is a patent on belief. The fact that another group does or does not do something says nothing about Catholicism.

I have never heard of anyone saying that Catholics worship the angels and saints.

Nick is fine. The point of this thread is twofold: One, to show that God uses the enemies of the Catholic Church to vindicate Catholicism, and two, to get those non-Catholics who make untrue claims about Catholicism to research Catholicism.

LOL, right on! There’s defending one’s faith and then there’s reading way too much into things and looking for insults. I have a Catholic relative that has a huge chip on his shoulder and I can’t even ask a legitimate question about church to, even though he knows I am going to church there and in RCIA. He’s way too defensive and it’s a real turn off, to be honest. He needs to quit assuming all non-Catholics are trying to take down the CC.
