Am not sure if this is the right forum for this, but it seemed the closest to what I want to say.
I love being Catholic. I love the tradition. I love the liturgy.
That said, I miss the camaraderie of the Protestant Churches and even the LDS Church of my youth. I miss the prayer chains and the feeling of knowing everyone. I miss the feeling of togetherness.
As Catholics, with no Sunday School or the like, we go to Mass and we go home. There is not the feeling of belonging. There is not the feeling of being a part of a family.
Maybe I am a Baptist in a Catholic body or so. But it is what I miss and need. Yet, I cannot imagine not being Catholic.
Sigh
