What if when we die some people who we love don’t get into heaven? The thought brings tears to my eyes my mother recently died she was a good woman but for some reason I had a dream she was in hell i woke up In cold sweats if my mother didn’t make it to heaven I’d go to hell with her Eternal happiness wouldn’t be happiness without the person you love most in the world but she’s done nothing to deserve hell she was good and kind and devout

I have thought about it all night I wouldn’t lose her again I just couldn’t let her suffer alone for all eternity what if it was your mother would u gladly leave her

It was so real there was a nun who wasn’t really a nun but half goat she told me my mother was alive so I went to where she was and my mother asked me why did I come then I looked out the window and there was fire everywhere and the nun had goats feet and my mother crying I woke up I was so afraid I pulled the blankets over my head I’ve never felt fear like that ever

Rosie, I will pray a rosary for your mother tonight. She may very well be in purgatory. Pray for the poor souls in purgatory, often. They cannot pray for themselves. The dream might have been telling you this.

I do not want to come off brash, so I will offer you this Biblical verses on mercy. I think it would help you to reflect on these:

”David said to Gad, “I am in deep distress. Let us fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercy is great; but do not let me fall into human hands.”
  • 2 Samuel 24:14
”Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
  • Hebrews 4:16
”With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful.”
  • 2 Samuel 22:26
”And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things.”
  • Mark 6:34

Well, it could well have been purgatory, for that matter. Seems tome.

I hope for her sake she is atleast she will get out please God:pray:t4::pray:t4::pray:t4:

Logically speaking though, if this dream was prophetic and from God, then it would not be a dream of hell because God would only give us this dream so that we could pray for the soul. We don’t pray for souls in hell since their location in hell is permanent. If this dream was of Purgatory then this soul needs prayers.

If this dream was from the devil, it is just to cause fear and anxiety in us, nothing else. It could also of just been a dream because you miss your mother. If anything, pray for your mother because either way she could use your prayers and Jesus will do with your prayers as is His will

My attachment to Jesus is stronger than my attachment to my mother. If I said I would voluntarily go to hell to be with my mom (if she was there) over being in Heaven with Jesus, I just chose my mother, and sin, and Satan over God. I don’t want to be harsh so just ignore me if it bothers you, but your comments here are very scary, you should speak with a Priest about what hell actually is, no way you would ever chose hell and if you would, something is wrong

If I said I loved Jesus more than my mother I’d be lying even I said it a million times it wouldn’t be true I do love Jesus I love him very much but my mother is the only person I’ve ever loved (in this world) she already suffered for 5 years with cancer I wouldn’t allow her to suffer eternity alone no sir I wouldn’t

Got this from a Christian website

Not even the saints experienced a strong feeling of love for God at all times. It is well known that St Teresa of Calcutta experienced a great spiritual dryness, a feeling of the absence of God, a dark night of the soul, for the last 50 years of her life.

True love for God is not experienced in feelings but in deeds, in loving God “in deed and in truth”, as St John writes (1 Jn 3:18).

Jesus himself invites us to love him in this way: “If you love me you will keep my commandments” (Jn 14:15).

If the saints did not always feel a strong love for God, they did always show their love in generous deeds, in doing God’s will.

As it says in Catholic weekly true love for god is not experienced in feelings but good deeds is a relief for me as I don’t mind helping others I’ll a million good needs a day but I’ll never stop loving my mother as much as I do your wrong for trying to condemn that
