Like the title, where do you think we would be now if they hadn’t done that. I mean, I don’t think God meant for us to be where we are now, right?

Well, for one thing we’d all be walking around naked…😛

If they had not eaten of it, a human or humans at some point would have IMO. Temptations and remaining sinless is difficult.

Cain would have eaten it. If not him or anybody after, then eventually me.

:):):)👍👍

Hopefully when we are in our spiritual body, we will be again.

I don’t want there to be anything between me and our LORD’s embrace!!!

I agree with this. I read a quote somewhere that said something to the effect of, “We can all fault Adam and Eve for their bad decision, but take any other person, including you and me, and put them in their shoes, and they’d make the same mistakes.”

… except they had no shoes 😉

Yes, without being in the Beatific Vision we all have a weakness to fall into temptation. God wants us all to be with Him, so no matter where we are God is trying to reach us. Like a GPS, no matter how far off you are from your destination, there is always a path leading back.

God Bless!👍

Somebody else would have or they would have broken another of God’s commands

But the apple gave them knowledge of good and evil. When they ate the apple, they didn’t know it was a bad thing. They were naively tempted by a lie the snake told them. I think if the snake had not said anything, people would have straight up followed God’s commands to stay away from the apple. Also, Cain probably wouldn’t have been evil if not for original sin.

Interesting.

I suppose it is better that Adam and Eve ate it otherwise we would have people inside and outside of the garden of eden at the same time.
Also, love your profile pic. I kinda want that.

Some other lady would have eaten it. I only would have done it after she did. Not my fault.
