What if I can't obtain my baptismal certificate?

Hi there.
This is the first time I have used a forum so I apologise if I do it wrong. Total Beginner.😊

I am due to get married in the summer and as part of the admin process my local priest requires a copy of my baptismal certificate. I have contacted my old church who have no record of the event. The arch diocese have no record either. I have no physical record of my baptism except the word of my mother and the witnesses present.II sort of crept away from my faith until a few years ago, never being confirmed etc. I am really worried now that I will be unable to proceed with the wedding. Is there anything I can do? Please help. Really worried.

Hi William,

If there is no way to prove that you have been baptized, your priest can baptize you conditionally (If you have not been baptized, I baptize you…). You need to talk to him about this soon.
