What if I feel betrayed by Protestantism?

Hi, I am currently attending RCIA . I have been studying the Catholic faith for about a year on my own as well. I have been a protestant all of my life and have NEVER heard anything positive about the Catholic church until now. Now that I am learning the real meaning of what it means to be Catholic I am finding myself a little betrayed by Protestantism. Is this normal and what should I do about it?
