Even if the people to whom the property belongs object? How much force are you entitled to use if they tell you that you can’t have their property?

Then you need to consider the rest of what that paragraph in the Catechism says. Their refusal would be contrary to reason.

All stealing is taking, but not all taking is stealing.

No, I didn’t miss the point – my point is that THOU SHALT NOT STEAL doesn’t have any loopholes. Any more than Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery does. If you tell your kids it’s okay to steal if, until, unless, because … where does it end?

I would like to remind you of another Commandment. THOU SHALT NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS.

You are putting words into my mouth and claiming I said something I did not. That is wrong and you are wrong to try to do that.
