What if im not ready

I’m only 21 and i am very aware i have a whole life ahead of me, but ill be honest im scared that i wont find the right guy. i believe in waiting until marriage, i want to wait for the right person, but im scared i wont know that he is the one if one day i meet the guy. and i want him to share the same beliefs as me to love god as much as i love god, and continue to learn to love and live the right way.

What ever you do, in any circumstance, do not lower your standards. The type of guy that you are searching for is out, there. They are hard to find but it can be done. You must be patient and pray fervently. God bless and good luck. Trust me, there are people like that out there both my wife and waited for each other, so it does happen.

I don’t believe the popular concept of “The One” exists, actually. Maybe the married crowd will call me wrong, but I’ve always thought there are a scattered number people who share compatible traits with someone else. There’s bound to be what, a few dozen like-minded gentleman, of which any one could be your “One” depending on the probabilities.

I cannot tell you how you will “know,” but relying on my married friends’ examples, sharing a mature, practical mindset focused in the long-term future is more important than any gut feeling alone. Right now make the most of your unmarried life and be optimistic. You’ve some freedoms that you won’t enjoy later, and some of them can help you prepare for marriage (e.g., reaching financial independence).

You sound like a lovely girl, so I have no doubt that there is someone out there for you-right now.

I’m only 16 but recently I went for a week thinking about the same thing and then I realised I was being a tad silly. I know the girl for me is out there somewhere, it’s just our paths won’t cross just yet. But they will.

I used to worry about the same thing at your age. I would wear out my friends with my complaints about how I would never meet anyone. I ended up marrying one of those friends, LOL! I was twenty-four when I got married, and it seemed to take forever. Now that I’m married, the days seem to fly by. It’s been 21 and a half years. It’s always harder while you are waiting, but wait we must. I’ll pray that you find a good husband.
