Dear Brothers and Sister in Christ, If a priest in the confessional says “I give you the absolution in the name of the Father and the Song and the Holy Spirit” is the absolution valid since he did not use the words “I absolve you”?

Sincerely in Christ our Lord and His Immaculate Mother
Thanks be to God always

While the proper wording should always be used, as long as the priest by changing the words does not change the meaning then the sacrament is valid. In this case the words of absolution are barely changed and no meaning can be considered to have changed, therefore it was a valid (if illicit) absolution.
