What if there was a way to see how you and your future spouse will look at 50, 70, and 90 years old?!

I dunno what the benefit would be. I think it takes a long time for couples to learn who the person is underneath. With just a picture and only physical attributes to look at, not knowing who the person will develop into, I’m not sure it’s helpful. Plus there are other variants like cancer treatment or significant weight loss or gain. It might weed out some of the most superficial, but other than that, I don’t know. If we are blessed enough to be with our spouse when we’re in our 70s, 80s, and 90s, we’ll know a lot more about what to look for underneath after all that time together.

(Though for many of us, we can just look at our in-laws and get a pretty good idea. ;))
 
I know exactly what DH will look like at 40 or 50…his dad. They look exactly alike, as his dad looks exactly like his two brothers. The only difference is grey vs white hair, depending on the age. DH looks just like his dad, but a bit taller, face is the same, hair the same…

DS looks just like DH so far…
 
There is. There’s an aging app.
My daughter used it to see how she will look when she’s my age.

Answer? Exactly like me. 🤷
 
Too bad there isn’t an app to tell how their personality will age! Will they be grumpy, will they be sweet? Will they still want to kiss without any teeth? Will time chip away at their faith or build their hope? How do they respond to long term sickness? You know, the important stuff.

It would be freaky to see how time would also do these things to ourselves! I mean what if you came up to be one of those grumpy old people without faith and wanting to kiss only beautiful people In spite of your own beauty? Then what would you do? Could the future be changed?
 
If you watch the video you will hear what this couple says about how getting a glimpse of how they’ll age effects their perceptions of one another. They speculate on how they might be as people at the he various ages. It is more than just a video showing how they look as older people.

What you don’t know is, will the other person let go or not. On a less ‘shallow’ level, you can’t ever preclude illness or accident affecting appearance.
 
It is probably best to focus on the stage in life that you are currently living.
If we are fortunate enough to live to a ripe old age, we will have inhabited the body of a baby, infant, toddler, pre-schooler, early grader, middle grader (pre-teen), teenager, young adult, mature adult, senior, and old age person.

Your soul will inhabit all of these physical stages…one at a time.
It’s part of life among the living. There is a point where you are the youngest, and in good time you become the oldest. The full gambit of the human experience.
