What if what you beleived about the End Times was all Wrong?

I got a laugh last weekend when I walked in to Northwestern Book Store (a Protestant store) last weekend and saw a big display with that question at the top and Hank Hanagraph’s controversial book, “The Last Disciple” that I understand refutes pre-trib rapture and is at odds with Lahaye and Jenkins Left Behind series that of course is available an isle or so over. I should get Hanks book but I have trouble helping anti-catholics make a living. Guess I’ll wait till it’s available used on Amazon.

Hmmmm…if I found out that LaHaye and Jenkins were wrong, after I had invested much emotion and even a bit of money (hey, they don’t give away those “In Case of Rapture, This Car Will Be Unoccupied” bumperstickers…) why, I’d, I’d…hmmm, start another church? The REAL church this time, based on the Bible?

It’s really sad when you think of how LaHaye made millions off the public with this “left behind” series, videos and even games. Now after all this time another Protestant FINALLY stands up and exposes this flim flam man for what he is. But all through history there have been false prophets, from the Montanists, the Docetists, the Gnostics, the Arians, the Seventh day Adventist, Joesph Smith, Charles Russell. LaHaye is just another added to the list. But the sad part is, these guys get rich off their false teachings.

From what I’ve learned about Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins, That title would fit! (Unfortunately, I have many Fundamentalist and Evangelical friends who have told me ALL ABOUT these men and their books.) A man who has close ties with Sun Myung Moon is obviously a false prophet, but try telling his fans that!

Tim LaHaye is Chairman of Sun Myung Moon’s “Coalition for Religious Freedom.” He has attended many Moonie “services” - although he says he does not believe all that Moon preaches.

He is reported to have received $500,000 from Bo Hi Park (an aide to Moon).

Yes, he and many other evangelical leaders. Look into it, you’ll see. Jerry Falwell is also closely tied to Sun Myung Moon. Moon bailed out Liberty University a few years ago and still supports the university financially.

Your revelation here is important and worthy of its own thread. Please back it up with references because we have to expose these people for the heretics they are.
For years they have been portraying themselves as the real Bible Chtistians who only follow the pure truth as written in Scripture. They have attacked the Catholic Church for supposedly adding many man made beliefs to the original “bible” faith.
If we can now show that these evangelical eaders follow such a public heretic and con man as the Rev Sun Myung Moon, then hopefully we can persuade evangelicals and other sincere Protestants to start seriously examining the Catholic Church.

Thank you for your post. It didn’t occur to me to start a new thread about this. I’ll do some more research, and get on it. Also, anyone who has some concrete proof about the LaHaye/Falwell/Moon connection PLEASE feel free to start a thread. Thanks! 🙂
