…Now if the aliens said they were playing a trick on us and the whole Incarnation thing was just a joke, then I would lose my faith, for obvious reasons…
This is a major point to be considered. What if they gave us all our beliefs from the ten commandments, fear of Hell and belief in Heaven, to Jesus and His teachings in an attempt to civilize us? It doesn’t seem to have worked, we have had more terrible wars in the last 2000 years than ever before the coming of Christ. Perhaps they are ready to admit their experiment with us was a failure. Maybe that is why so many unexplained sightings have taken place since the atomic bombs were dropped. It would seem logical that if an advanced civilization was observing us as their failed experiment, the smart thing to do, rather than wipe us out, would be to level with us. Tell us the whole truth, point out the logic of loving one another and the planet, and being civilized. That reward/punishment thing hasn’t worked. The elaborate rituals of our religions haven’t worked, maybe it’s time to drop it all.

Consider this a little before reacting with your natural derision. It has been reported by competent whistle blowers that the US and other governments are very reluctant to reveal the truth about so called alien visitors because it would devastate the world’s belief systems. To admit that beings a million years or more advanced than us have been in contact with us and have related that they have found no evidence of a supreme being would indeed seem to be devastating.

What if, and I need you to suspend your natural inclination to scoff, you had this revealed to you? What would be your reaction? You, like I, have been taught how things are from childhood. What if you found that all you have been taught was just fantasy and wishful thinking? Would your faith suffice to overcome the shock of such a revelation? What, if it was revealed to you that indeed we are just a genetically formed creature by some advanced species for some purpose perhaps not comprehensible to us. Can you consider this possibility in a rational way? Or will your prior developed belief system block any consideration from your mind? This possibility really troubles me.
I do believe our Govt is hiding this truth from the public, but slowly more and more information is coming out about it.

The truth is, God created them and their world as well.

I do not believe we were created by some advanced race of aliens, but I do think this scenario will be used against the CC and probably all religion at some point. Its really the perfect modern tool for the enemy…make aliens/UFOs/ advanced life to be VERY popular in our culture, of course belief in this increases (just like we see happening), its a ‘sell-able’ theory that ‘aliens’ COULD have created us as some kind of experiment long ago, many people buy into this, but MANY MANY more could be persuaded to believe this if some global visitation event takes place, and the visitors give us some kind of spectacular smoke and mirrors display of their abilities, it would all be false, but it would be powerful enough to convince a great number of people this is true and we have been wrong the whole time about God, the bible, etc.

This would also make it very easy for the worlds Govts to eventually make worship of any other ‘God’ to be wrong, if they believe we are suddenly being shown the truth about our creation, many will likely suggest its blasphemous to continue worshiping the God of the bible when we now have proof of who are creators are.

Preferably, wrapped in bacon 😃 😛
With some fava beans and a nice Chianti…

Incidentally, I’m not sure that all those who talk about ‘our government deceiving us’ realise that the government changes every few years. Do you reckon Bush needed to have a quiet chat with Obama about ‘the aliens’?

‘Well, George, I am diametrically opposed to everything you stood for, but on deceiving the American public in regard to this matter? Well, hell yes. Why wouldn’t I agree!’

Actually it is not the elected government which is deceiving us about aliens, it is the US Military/Intelligence apparatus that is keeping this a secret. Only a few elected officials (like George Bush Sr) are privy to this secret.

People like Obama, Jimmy Carter, George Bush Jr have never been told and have absolutely no idea. When a president like Clinton actually tried to investigate, he was threatened into backing off (he was easy to threaten/blackmail - too many skeletons).

Love the theatre reference – willing suspension of disbelief. Wish more people would recognize the value of a “willing suspension of disbelief.”

As what I would approach rationally, have no clue.

What if their summary of us was something like this:

Class 5 (ii): No interplanetary transport. No fusion (energy mainly fossil fuels). Short life span (no hybrids). Limited knowledge of physics. Primitive belief systems based on the supernatural. Reproduction by sexual means. Carnivores. No centralised political system. Estimate of reaching Class 4 system: 14.3%.
God himself chose to come here. To live among us. And to save us.
Some fictional alien opinion is of little consequence when held next to the truth of God.

Notwithstanding that we are also some type of animal, what if the aliens made us? Everything that we believed about why we were here and who created us would be wrong.
How would this change God’s interaction with man throughout history?
How would this change the reality of God’s church?

Big secret, but somehow the community of conspiracy theorists found out. How?

Actually they did not just find out by accident, the intelligence community has been actively spreading stories about it for the last 50 years. They are smart enough to have figured out that if you spread enough contradictory and unbelievable stories about some phenomenon, nobody can tell which is the truth amongst all the disinformation and nonsense.

The rumor is that every ‘UFO group’ has a government/intelligence plant confusing the group itself with lies and half truths. The result is that if a serious investigator tries to find and publish the truth, he is immediately ridiculed by everyone. This ridicule is turn keeps all serious investigators away from the topic. That is why the alien story is a open secret surrounded by lies.

You are right, in 1992 Senator Byrd had his national security adviser, Dick Damato (spelling of last name?) look into this, they found a black arm of the government responsible for maintaining this secrecy, they were said to be above any regulations, and spent from the ‘black budget’ or SAP budget.

There is plenty of info on this when you look up Byrd or Dick D.

Of course there is plenty of real information, if you can sift thru it and remove the disinformation.

But if you ever talk about it, people will ridicule you as a conspiracy theorist or worse as a nutcase.

How would I react if it were revealed that a race of hyper-intelligent agnostic atheist extra-terrestrials a million years more advanced than us has been in contact with us? I would listen intently to what they had to say and attempt to learn as much as possible from them. If they simply didn’t believe in God because they had no evidence, I wouldn’t be too bothered by that. If they claimed that they created us as some kind of experiment, I would be shocked but it would explain some things! 😛 If they had proof of their claim to be our creators but were unsure of their own origins, I guess I would consider them to be our “true” ancestors and investigate their theories of purpose, origins, meaning, morality, etc with them! I like to think I would not hold on to beliefs that require the denial of reality, but I would be deeply skeptical of these alien’s claims if they are offered without sufficient evidence.

Part of me would be very, very, excited. It would finally be something new (and not just technological development)! Think of the explosion of creativity and understanding that would result from contact with a very advanced species capable of interstellar or intergalactic communication and/or travel.

In this revision, we nailed Him to tree.

This idea has always intrigued me. And I do find the UFO sightings and stories to be really interesting. I’m not for sure what to make of them.

However, considering there is no intelligent life in the solar system besides human beings, and assuming the aliens come from within the same Universe and not some other “dimension,” HOW ARE THESE ALIENS ABLE TO TRAVEL TO EARTH? I’m no physicist, but my gut instinct would be that any finite creature, alien or human, even given millions of years, would never be able to figure out how to travel so fast as to reach one inhabited planet in one solar system to another.

And also, considering life has been evolving for quite some time on Earth, it is highly unlikely that any alien visitors are responsible for the life that has evolved on Earth for millions of years. After all, they themselves would have had to evolve. For example, say these alleged alien visitors may have only become “intelligent,” evolving from pre-rational alien apes, around the same time the last of the dinosaurs were roaming Earth.

I guess one could argue that the advanced alien visitors interfered with life on Earth so as to bring about new species, but it seems highly unlikely that any alien visitors of today would have been responsible for Earth’s life itself.

BUT EVEN IF ALIENS are responsible for human life, that would not in itself contradict God’s plan for humanity. After all, human beings today interfere with natural processes to bring about and modify their own versions of human life, whether by genetic tampering or in-vitro fertilization. Etc.

I do see how that fact would shake many elements of the Christian faith, though. For it seems that if aliens did bring about the human race, then they could have brought about elements of our culture… like religion.

Well, if they were created long before we were, Im sure their technology is much greater, and they have a better understand of how things work.

If you told people just 500 yrs ago, in the year 2016, people would be carrying pocket size super computers around with them, flying in airplanes at 30K ft, driving complicated vehicles to get around, Im sure they would have thought it all to be impossible.

Their home world may not even be a planet like we think of it, maybe another dimension or who knows, we are only guessing they come from a distant planet. Some theorize this is why all the pictures and videos of UFOs seem to be blurry, out of focus, they may not be ‘entirely’ from the world in the way we think of it.(hard to grasp)

They are getting here by some other means than traveling the distance in the terms in think of it, ‘manipulating’ time/ space could make travel between galaxies a half hour trip in our view…in short we have no way of knowing what kind of technology they have, but we can be assured, they have a MUCH greater understanding of these things than we do.
