I see this video and very wonderful. Thanks.
Good afteroon Religio71! I hope you are doing well today.I was LDS before I became CatholicThe ward and stake websites restrict most content, and the membership directory is completely separate. Parishes that have membership directories restrict that part of the website, not everything else. Just an observation.
A.A., You got it! I have a question about the Trinitarians. Are you referring to…
Pray for me! I’m Discerning God’s Call to the religious life!
Orders I am pondering
Trinitarians
Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter
The Companions of the Cross
SAINT MICHAEL’S COLLEGE CLASS OF 2013!

Good morning GodIsGracious! I’m happy to meet you. Here’s to wishing you a great day today! Those “temples” look like hotels, spas, and theatres. Not like places of worship or God’s house.
Also… while I realize those twelve ox are a throwback to the 12 tribes of Isreal, I kept thinking all they needed were to be made out of gold.![]()
Could you share these signs and tokens with us?The prime difference I see between the Divine Liturgy/Mass and the Endowment, using your statement, is that the union with the Divine occurs literally during the Liturgy. The point of the Endowment is not to be literally united with Christ during the ordinance. Also, there really isn’t any worship involved in the Endowment. Instead there is a dramatization of various stories,** as well as the teaching of signs and tokens needed to be exalted.** Thus the relationship between the Divine Liturgy and the Endowment is more superficial than anything, and really could be applied to many ceremonies, Christian and non-Christian.
And of course the video shows disapproval of these things (most often associated with Catholicism) by marking with a check mark.Interesting, I’ve always wondered what a Mormon service is like. Sounds too long.
I’ve been to several different protestant services. (Mostly Methodists and Non-Denom)
I like that the Mormon service has some kind of structure. I don’t like Baptist services where you sit and listen to the preacher talk and maybe singing a few hymns. The Mass has a defined pattern of sitting, standing, kneeling, responding, singing et cetera. The UM service is semi-structured compared to the RC Mass.
I’ll stick with the mass which is about an hour.![]()
That was interesting. I’d always wondered. 15 yrs ago I was invited by Missionaries to attend and they were going to take me, but never showed up. Been curious since then. For those interested in seeing what a Mormon service is like, please click on the video. I do not do this for Missionary work but rather for understanding a mormon service. I think that there are many posters who post on the mormon threads who have never had an explanation of a mormon service:

The temple signs and tokens can best be described as different kinds of hand grips and hand gestures.Could you share these signs and tokens with us?
