Please, forgive my rather mundane answer. I was not brought up in the Catholic faith. I was brought up in a family that practices Tibetan Buddhism, and I still practice Buddhism. I stumbled across this site because I was looking for answers for tracking down a former teacher of mine who left education to become a priest.

In my coming to this site, I have also found that I have many, many questions about the Catholic faith and how it is practiced. It is my hope that I do not bother too many people with too many questions, but I am truly interested in learning as much as I can.

I also know to respect that which is sacred, and that every teaching has some information that is not open to outsiders. So, with that in mind, I am truly intrigued to hear more about apologists. What does this mean wihtin the Catholic faith? What role specifically does an apologist play?

Thank you so much for your time, patience, and consideration.

Much joy and many blessings,
