I have a question on Faith vs Works. I am the facilitator of a Bible study. I have one person there who has been through multiple religions (Baptist, Methodist, etc.) When I said that in the Catholic Church we believe that you must have faith and the “works are the fruit of faith.” He agreed completely. He also agreed that if you don’t have works you don’t have faith. However, he also said that the other faiths said the same thing. I also spoke with a very religious Baptist lady I know. She agreed with him. She did say that you are salved by faith alone, but she said that if you don’t have faith you don’t have works. She said that they acknowledge may of the people who say they are “saved” are not. What am I missing? I am missing something their side ours or both. (Other than "once saved always saved. I got that. Thanks!
