What is God porpuse in creating too many souls exposing them only to Good and Evil?

The concepts of Good and Evil in principle could be experienced by two souls, two creatures. If the knowledge of Good and Evil are the only approachable concepts then why God created too many souls, too many creatures putting them in state of nature/suffering in which all of them reach to the same conclusion at the end: “There are two concepts of Good and Evil”.

“Exposing them only to Good and Evil” – what else is there that you think God should expose them to?

I’m not really clear on what is being asked…

First of all I would say that God does not create “too many souls”. He creates just the right number.
As to the issue of exposure to good and evil…that becomes a very complicated question. When I look at such a thing I ask myself - will the answer to this question help me on my daily walk with Christ?
If the answer is yes - then I go to the Father in prayer and ask Him to guide me. I do not ask for any deep revelation, but only that which I need to know / understand in order to better serve him today - in my life and walk.

So -

I would say that if you want to know God’s purpose in a given thing, it is best to go to Him in prayer and ask for guidance.

Peace
James

Good James. Along with exposing us to good and evil, God gives his children a choice to accept him and say yes to obiedience it is called free will. We choose Him the good, out of love.Peace, Carlan

The number of souls God created is perfect. There aren’t too many.

But for that God only needs two creatures. The main question is why more creatures, more suffering?
God is infinitely perfect and knows what he is doing. Life is short on this earth, but everlasting life is glorious and filled with the Light of the Lord! We need to pick up our daily cross and follow Him. Through suffering we come to learn what Jesus did for us.

Out of His perfect love, he wants us to have a glorious life everlasting forever!

The only purpose of human creation by God is to know and glorify Him.This is what was taught in a question answer book in catechism more than 50 years back when I was in school. In fact the first question in the book was who created you(Ans: God)and the second question was why God created you for which the answer given is what is mentioned above. What a beautiful and perfect answer!Once we understand this fundamental purpose, most of our doubts relating to God are automatically answered. For ex.why the all-powerful God permits evil things to happen, why He does not interfere to save and take all to heaven ,why misfortune happens on earth , innocent children killed etc. This is how:God wants to be glorified by humans not by force but by their own free will after knowing about Him. For this purpose and by His magnanimity He gave them complete freedom to act and gave all the resources on earth at their disposal during their period of stay on earth.Men discovered atoms, chemicals, made atom bomb ,chemical weapons and benefit or suffer by their actions.God directly ,through prophets and through Jesus disclosed what is right and what is wrong and what should be done or not to be done Those who obeyed /obey are saved. The suffering/ happiness on earth are not of any significance when compared to the basic purpose of human creation and hence we need not much bother about them .As long as we know the ultimate purpose nothing else matters.Try to know about God and glorify him as much as possible on this earth. The chosen people will get the chance to see and glorify God eternally after their brief tenure on earth

God knows best that answer.
As He tells us in Isaiah 55: 8-9,
His ways are not our ways.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55:8-9

In reflecting on the number of creatures God has created and is still creating, especially human beings and angels, it reminds me of God’s infinite goodness, generosity, and liberality. He wants to share his beatitude with so many creatures.

I don’t understand you folks. Too many souls (maybe infinite souls) to teach them only good and evil. Aren’t you underestimating God knowledge and believe these (good and evil) are the only things that it could be offered!? What is the purpose of creation so vast? Children are repeating the same exercise that their parents performed! Doesn’t this seem a little common sense?

Are there really many souls? Does not Christ pray “ut unam sint” (that they may be one)?

If there is One God, there are not many souls. The one does not co-exist with the many. If the One exists, there are not ‘many’. If the ‘many’ exists, there is not One who is truly One…

Is there any evidence that the soul in me is different from the soul in you? There is only One, one “Who Is”. The many is illusion, the One is Truth.

Mate, I was just about to say the same thing about this thread in its entirety.

I have no earthly clue what you’ve been asking.
Are the knowledge of good and evil are the only things that God could offer? They become common sense concepts when you realize them. How you are going to deal with your eternal life and your curiosity when there is nothing more left to be learnt? Do our journey toward God which is always in higher state of being and mind is possible without curiosity? Is there an end for this journey?

Yes there is an end to this journey - when we are immersed in and become Love (Agape).
God is Love (1 John 4:7-8) and He who knows Love knows God.
Love is the root and foundation of the law and the prophets. (Mt 22:36-40)
Love is the command given to us by Jesus (John 13:34-35)
Love is greater than faith or hope - and the one thing that lasts (1 Cor 13:1-13)

Knowledge of good and evil is but a stepping stone in our growth in Love.

Peace
James

What do you mean with immersed in and become love. Do we lose our selves? It seems that there is process of giving and taking love which is not defined well. How we could give and take love in state of timeless? How about human curiosity about those questions without any answers? Those question that we know and those that we don’t.

What do you mean with immersed in and become love.
I mean that Love (Agape) becomes the root of our every action. The desire for the highest moral good both for ourselves and or others around us. Read the Gospels and see how Jesus humbles himself. He says that He came to serve, not be served. He says that the one who would be the greatest must be the servant of the others. He tells us that it is by our Love for one another that the world will know that we are His.
Do we lose our selves?
To an extent - yes. We lose parts of our “self” that are contrary to God’s will for us. We seek to be more and more united with Him
It seems that there is process of giving and taking love which is not defined well. How we could give and take love in state of timeless?
We Give Love and we receive Love - we do not “take” love. Both the giving and the receiving is a gift given, not taken. This is a subtle but important distinction.

As far as immersion and the timeless aspect goes…Consider how you are immersed in the atmosphere…you breath in - you breath out…you receive air - you give air - you are immersed in air and the air fills you. You don’t even think about it most of the time…
This is how it is in the Kingdom. Immersed in Love - giving and receiving Love - outside of thought or time…
How about human curiosity about those questions without any answers? Those question that we know and those that we don’t.
There is no need of curiosity when every answer is present and every true desire of the Loving soul is satisfied. St Paul says that now we see as through a glass darkly…but then we will see clearly.

James

I don’t quite understand what you are saying.

First, the translation of that sentence if I get it correct means, “'may they be one”. It doesn’t say they are one (I use google). Do you believe in souls but God?

Yes, I do believe in many selves. You are different person from me, sitting on other part of world, experiencing different things, how I could be you if I could not share my experience with you and vice versa.
