What is going on in India? A few weeks ago, Hindu’s destroyed anything Catholic in the churches, they were looking for priests to kill, the Hindu’s killed an Evangelical couple, they paraded a nun around in the nude after they had raped her, they are asking people to renounce their Christian faith, and proving that the people are indeed renouncing it, they are making these poor people go on their rampages with them.
Today in India, they were looking for American and British tourists, attacking two well known hotels and setting them on fire. I believe they killed 78 people and injured hundreds of others.
I understand they are a Muslim and Hindu nation, but with Mother Terese who started her mission work there, I would think there are a lot of Catholics. Why all the chaos now? Please pray that this will never happen here and pray for our priests that are risking their lives over there.

India is actually a very diverse nation with various religious groups that co-exist side by side. You only hear of the turbulences the media reports but you hardly hear of the generosity Hindus have towards their Muslim and Christian neighbours. You have to be there to know it and i have been there several times.

As LDNCatholic mentioned, India has had a very turbulent past, from Moghul dictators to the Colonial bigots who left bitter lasting impressions on Indians. Some learned Hindu radicals have decided to take out their frustrations on foreign influences and with them, persuaded a horde of uneducated Indians into believing they are avenging justice for the past events. Some people simply cannot let go of the past.

I think its unfair to blame this terrible situation on anyone, including the Muslims. For all you know, they are just as terrified of the chaos around them as with any Hindu who does not support these radical organizations.

Its not about sugar coating. Its about understanding. The post 9/11 incident saw several groups attacked by red-necks. Some of whom were Indians and if i remember correctly, a Punjabi man was murdered in cold blood because he was mistaken to be a Muslim. So far , I never heard in BBC or CNN or Skynews if a criminal is a jew or Chrisitians or Buddhist. When Hindus killed more than thousand Muslims in Gujrat about 2/3 years back , BBC reported like that angry mob , unruly crowd etc. Hardly they said Hindu fundamentalist group .

Let me clearly tell u , in Islam killing innocent person is a major sin , punishment is hell fire.
