Let’s not go there. If I had a nickel for every time a Muslim killed a Christian, I’d be a gazillionaire.
Do you know for sure they were targetting Christians? The news doesn’t record them running in and saying ''Who is a Christian?" they asked who was British or American.

Where ever and when ever Islam brushes up against civilization there is violence.Extreme Islamists have no problem with converting one by the sword. It is a violent, violent faith in practise and is to my mind a form of religious fascism.Want to make your hair stand on end?Read the Koran, especially those sections referencing unbelievers. The crusades were defensive in nature but like all human activities were occasionally skewed and sometimes sinful.I think that we are in a life or death struggle. As long as our secular sinful civilization is one of the combatants we cannot win.We will only win when our societies reject satan and fully embrace Christ, then Islam will melt away.

Salaam/peace
Thank God for the Crusades. .
I was told that Catholic Church don’t agree that Crusaders did the right thing & Church apologised for the mistake of the past . So , that info was not correct ?

Muslims Condemn Mumbai Terror

WORLD CAPITALS — Muslim scholars, politicians and organizations in India and across the world vehemently condemned on Thursday, November 27, the bloody attacks that hit splash hotels and other targets in India’s financial hub of Mumbai.

“The whole Indian Muslim community is saddened by the terrorist attacks on Mumbai,” the All India Muslim

Majlis-e-Mushawarat, an umbrella of all Muslim organizations in India, said in a statement mailed to IslamOnline.net.

“Over a hundred precious lives have been lost and hundreds lie injured in various hospitals of the city.”

More than 125 people have been killed in attacks on two luxurious hotels, a hospital, a railway station and a famous cafe frequented by foreign tourists.

The militants, armed with automatic weapons and grenades, opened fire indiscriminately and tossed grenades at people.

“We unconditionally and with all force at our command condemn this beastly act and consider it a crime of most serious nature,” said the Muslim umbrella group.

“We demand that the perpetrators and planners must be caught and brought to justice at the earliest.”

Indian police, who have so far killed four attackers and apprehended nine others, fought Thursday to end a multiple hostage crisis conducting floor-by-floor sweeps of the Taj Mahal and Oberoi hotels.

Gunfire continued to be heard from both hotels, where scores of guests, including Americans, French, Israelis and Canadians, remained trapped.

No Justification

Amid media reports that the attackers are Muslims, Indian Muslims said Islam forbids hostage-taking and civilian killing.

“Islam doesn’t allow the killing of innocent people, irrespective of their religious affiliation,” Sheikh Ahmed Bukhari, imam of the Jamia Mosque in New Delhi, told IOL.

Indian police say that no group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

But Indian media said a previously unknown group calling itself the Deccan Mujahideen had claimed responsibility for the attacks in e-mails to several media outlets.

An Indian television quoted a militant holed up in a Jewish center as linking the attack to Indian persecution of Kashmiri Muslims.

“Are you aware how many people have been killed in Kashmir? Are you aware how your army has killed Muslims. Are you aware how many of them have been killed in Kashmir this week?” said the man identified as Imran.

Kashmir is divided into two parts and ruled by India and Pakistan, which have fought two of their three wars since the 1947 independence over the region.
Pakistan and the UN back the right of the Kashmir people for self-determination, an option opposed by New Delhi.

“Islam is against these attacks and this is the position of the wide Indian Muslims,” Shahul Hameed, a Qatar-based Indian Muslim scholar, told IOL.
“Indian Muslims are of the view that those people who carried out the attacks should be punished,” he stressed.

“Muslims have vehemently condemned any terrorist attack and this position was recently expressed during a huge meeting of Muslim scholars in Hyderabad.”
Thousands of Muslim scholars from across India earlier this month denounced terrorism as a violation of Islamic teachings, stressing that Jihad can never be applied to terrorists acts.

Heinous

The heinous attacks drew equally condemnations from Muslims across the world.
“This is nothing but sheer terrorism,” Mufti Mohammed Naeem, Principal of Jamia Binoria Karachi, told IOL.

"No Muslim or non-Muslim can support this heinous act.
“Islam gives an immense importance to a human life. It doesn’t allow any group or individual to kill innocent Muslims or non-Muslims in retaliation,” said the Pakistani scholar.

“No body knows who is responsible for these terrorist attacks, but whoever it is, is highly condemnable.”

Australian Muslims also denounced the bombings.

“Attacks against innocent persons are abhorrent to all peaceful people and to all faiths and those who engage in this behavior stand condemned,” the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils said in a statement.

“People of goodwill and faith must double their efforts and resources to fight against such acts of barbarism and inhumanity.”
Britain’s umbrella Muslim organization, the Muslim Council of Britain, emphasized the same message.

“The brutal murder of Indians and foreign nationals is unacceptable, there is no excuse for such acts, whatever the cause may be,” MCB Chairman Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari said in a statement.

“I condemn this heinous act and extend my sympathies and condolences to the bereaved.”
Across the Atlantic, the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) lashed out at the attacks.

“Islam considers the use of terrorism to be unacceptable for any purpose.”

This attack is nothing to do with Hindus. These attackers are followers of a " peaceful " religion and they want to show to the world how peaceful are they and also they want to grab the 72 virgins in offer.

Kallukalam
This post is utterly asinine.

I was told that Catholic Church don’t agree that Crusaders did the right thing & Church apologised for the mistake of the past . So , that info was not correct ?
The objective of the Crusade was noble. It was initiated by the Catholic Church and so it had the Church blessing. The Church agreed with it.

There were many series of Crusades and some of which went out of hands and out of control. .The abuses during some of the Crusade are bad because Christians leaders took the laws into their own hands for their own personal benefits and greed.

They were Muslim. Murderers. Troublemakers. Targeting Americans and British in terror. That is why it is called terrorism. Muslim woman, wake up and smell the atrocities your people are causing. Islam is violent. period.
Well now this is a problem.

I just labeled another posters comment as “asinine”. The problem is that now I don’t know what adjective I could use to describe this one. I could use “asinine” again yet that would not be fair to the other poster as his post was not quite as, well, asinine, as this one.

🤷

Then why did Pope John Paul II apologize for them?

India is actually a very diverse nation with various religious groups that co-exist side by side. You only hear of the turbulences the media reports but you hardly hear of the generosity Hindus have towards their Muslim and Christian neighbours. You have to be there to know it and i have been there several times.

As LDNCatholic mentioned, India has had a very turbulent past, from Moghul dictators to the Colonial bigots who left bitter lasting impressions on Indians. Some learned Hindu radicals have decided to take out their frustrations on foreign influences and with them, persuaded a horde of uneducated Indians into believing they are avenging justice for the past events. Some people simply cannot let go of the past.

I think its unfair to blame this terrible situation on anyone, including the Muslims. For all you know, they are just as terrified of the chaos around them as with any Hindu who does not support these radical organizations.
Well I think it’s fair to blame the Muslims who actually “did the deed”.

Other than that I think you’re right.

lol…Crusaders did all the massacres in the name of Allah ? When zionists kill Palestine children , occupy their land , surely they don’t utter Allahu Akbar ? Don’t u believe holy land is given to jews by God Almighty ?

So far , I never heard in BBC or CNN or Skynews if a criminal is a jew or Chrisitians or Buddhist. When Hindus killed more than thousand Muslims in Gujrat about 2/3 years back , BBC reported like that angry mob , unruly crowd etc. Hardly they said Hindu fundamentalist group .

Let me clearly tell u , in Islam killing innocent person is a major sin , punishment is hell fire.

Kidnapping and Taking Hostages

We are talking about the evil acts of those people who claim to do so in the name of God. We are talking about the crime committed, not the religion. Why enlarge the discussion to the other region and the other time frame? We should not even debating about religion in the context of criminal actions. We can going into the endless debates if you do so. For instance, why would the Arabs has to go to Jerusalem (and up to Spain) on the first hand. if Islam was revealed to Muhammad, an Arab, Why should Muhammad need to point out Jerusalem as the original Kiblat? Why not Kaaba directly? You don’t have to answer my questions anyway, since this thread is talking about a CRIMINAL OFFENSE of some people.

Hi

May be it is a little off-topic; but for you .

This show his respect of the Messengers of Allah. He was a simple law abiding citizen. Untill GodAllah revealed a Word he would try to abide by the traditions of the Messengers.

Thanks

We can discuss this issue later on, my dear brother. I do not wish to discuss it in this thread, anyway. BTW, you give an interesting reply to follow through.

The only other thing that’s “assinine” as you put it, is your profile lists you as secular.

why is that asinine?
Why? You will constantly bash the Catholic church AND Christianity in general, with your last post as having you want to list all the “atrocities” committed by the Catholic church, even if your ignorance has you telling these stories, many were in defense of the faith…but you’ll deny that anyway…so go ahead.
Secular meaning state being seperate from Religion or, Religion has no place in public life…so…go ahead…

None of those reasons listed pertain in the least as to why my being secular would be “asinine”.

by the way, “secular” does not mean a “separation of church and state”. A secular state entails such a separation.

Many Muslims, thanks to the grace of God, do not want to overthrow their neighbors now or when the time is right. That’s because not all Muslims take Islam seriously.

On the other hand, thanks to the grace of God, many Christians love their neighbors - the ones who take Christianity seriously.

That is why I am against the word “extremism” as being an insult, because while an extreme Muslim is a terror an extreme Christian is a blessing to everybody including Muslims.

By the way, I recommend Anglos who want to understand the mindset of Hindus and Muslims in India/Pakistan/Bangladesh read Midnight’s Children by Salmon Rushdie. It is a mystical, fictional book about the time from India’s independence to Indira Ghandi’s wars. It is not scholarly but it gave me some empathy. Of course I recommend reading a solid non-fiction book of history shortly before or after as Rushdie commits some sins of omission.

Singaporean Hostage In Mumbai Attack Has Been Killed - News excerpts
[Singapore’s Foreign Ministry has said 28-year-old Lo Hwei Yen, a Singaporean held hostage in one of the Mumbai hotels, has been killed.

At a news conference late Friday night, officials confirmed her body was found on the 19th floor of the Oberoi Hotel.

She is believed to be the the first Singaporean victim of a terror attack.

He said that the terrorists conveyed a message through Ms Lo to Singapore’s mission in India for the Indian parliament.

He elaborated: “As you would have read in the Indian media, the terrorists demanded that the Indian authorities refrain from storming the Oberoi Hotel, otherwise they would harm her…We ask for your understanding that we could not confirm this earlier, as the situation at that time was fluid and fast evolving. It was not appropriate at that (time) for us to do this for operational reasons.”

Upon learning the tragic news, SM Goh visited Ms Lo’s father-in-law, Mr S. Puhaindran, and his family on Friday evening.

Mr Puhaindran is a veteran grassroots leader in Mr Goh’s Marine Parade constituency.

“It’s a tragedy for Mr Puhaindran. The son was married last year. They just celebrated their first anniversary this year. I was there at the wedding. So I too was quite shocked by the tragic event,” said Mr Goh.](http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/392947/1/.html)
