Hi all

I wanted to share with you a very important message I recently heard which I believe answers both these questions.

We can only imagine, through the words of John’s revelation in the 21st chapter what heaven will be like.

I have wondered is there anything else to heaven which John did not tell us in Revelation?

I have read a book, 90 Minutes in Heaven, and just recently heard a message from the author Don Piper who died and saw heaven.

God sent Him back to earth so that He could tell us what He saw. In his testimony you will learn what I believe is the answer to the second question in the title…

What is one of our purposes for being here?

My prayer is that you are blessed by Don’s message just as much as I was. His story is one which goes beyond all our human minds can comprehend.

enjoy and may God bless you by this miraculous testimony of Don Piper

I don’t trust near death experiences of those who claim to have gone to Heaven and than returned to Earth. Man must be judged first before going to Heaven or Hell, and once the judgment is pronounced, it is final - there is no going back to Earth. Visions of Heaven or Hell, though, are different, since they are symbolic dreams and not NDEs. And all visions and experiences of the supernatural kind are to judged against Scripture and Tradition, for the Word of God - the written Scripture and the oral Tradition - is without error.

I love reading about NDEs. Michael Brown has written many books about his study of them…“The Other Side” I wouldn’t swear to their truth, but there are so many of them and they don’t contradict each other. Maybe these people don’t go into heaven, but are close enough to get a “view” of it. Or maybe it is a vision.
Whatever it is, I personally find them very comforting and I’m really happy for my loved ones who are there and I can’t wait to get there myself when God wills it. I guess it gives me even more incentive to follow God’s will for me.( okay, I know my motives should be more pure…just for the love of God, but sometimes I’m weak and just yearn for heaven)

As for our purpose on earth? To know God, to love God and to serve God in this world and to be with Him in the next.

Heaven is glorious joy over abounding…colors, music, flowers that we can’t even imagine…the explosive love of being in God’s presence and His love surrounding and filling us…never ending joy and happiness…

Eucharisted…I can understand your scepticism and untrust.

I am curious…did you watch the video?

This is not another NDE case.
Don was pronounced dead at the scene and was under the tarp covering his car for 90 minutes.
How would you answer if this happened not to Don Piper but to one of your own family members?

until that time we can only imagine what heaven will be like?

Don’t use emotional arguments against me. As for it not being a NDE, I really believe it is. In addition to what I said in my first post, Don cited almost every stereotype of a NDE in his story. So until science tells me it was not a NDE, I shan’t believe it is not.

For some reason I always picture Purgatory as having everybody wearing Richard Nixon masks like in the hilarious movie, “Airplane!” LOL
