How do I find out what is involved in the formation of a deacon?

There is a wealth of information at the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops website.
Once you have looked over the information there, if you are interested in getting more information specific to your area, I recommend that you speak with your priest who can direct you to the vocations director in your diocese.
