What is it that caused offense to Muslims?

No i didnt escape and there is no need to really. If you have noticed you will find that there ar emany lovely threads concenbring Islam so i am a bit busy.

I have replied to Eden in another thread about what i fault about the popes speach . From the amount of threads now attacking islam i dont remember any of them .

But i know one thing. There si no wonder that Muslim posters are leaving.

I dont know how do you guys missionize but it isnt that good.

Hi Meedo, so what do you object to that the Pope said?

1- I more object that it was the pope who said these statements. Since generally this is somthing that muslims vehmently deny… it would be wise not to let the Highest Christian authority in the world implicitly endorse this view publicly. I mean even if the pope did believe so … it is very haremful to dialougue and disrespectful to the most important figure in the islamic world and also leave no space for muslims to understand him in any different way.

2- These thing about bieng spread by teh sword is simply not true. And many sincere historians and many facts proves that its false. Indonesia is the most populous country ever with Muslims have never had a muslim sword on it.So is Malasya. The whole Mongol empire were victorious over muslims and ended up embracing islam after they butchered muslims. Muslims have in their law the choice that you can keep your faith and law and live in peace even if they conquer the land. tens of Millions of christians live in Muslim lands. If muslims wanted to get rid of them because they didnt convert they could have done long time ago. These are just a few examples.

3- To Imply that islam doesnt believe in reason is just plain silly . There was a time in hystory were The church was burning scientists . I never recall a scientist was punished by a muslim ruler or a scholar.

Islam has and continues to be spread by the sword. Ask the two fox news people that were forced at gun point to convert. Ask the thousands of Christians each year who are killed and put in jail in Muslim countries for being Christians. To say that Islam does not force conversion is just propaganda…or lies.

And, the Koran calls its members to violence against non-Muslims over and over again.

You may be busy now, but the thread I was speaking of was, if memory serves, over a year ago and once presented with evidence from Muslims you fell silent. Denying that the events surrounding the deaths of those girls were a direct result of the religious police, in spite of Muslim accounts to the contrary, is escapism. I often wonder if a Muslim man would/could ever admit to anything that casts a shadow on Islam. I suspect not. However I did not come here to rehash an event were the truth is known, even to those who wish to deny it happened.

I am sure you are very busy right not, but you need to be defending your peaceful Islam from Muslims not Christians!

Why are Muslim posters leaving? Tired of defending a weak position? Have to leave or not post for sometime instead of admitting they spoke in error?

I never came here to “missionize”, I came here to learn and I have learned many negative things about Islam from Muslim members of the forum.

But yes we have some uneducated and loose murderers and we cant control them.

In bad economic conditions and wars in islamic countries there comes a huge mess were things go out of control. Notice the two countries that had problems after the pope said his remarks is generally two war torn countries. Somalia and palestine. One just barely trying to get out of civil war and warlord fights and the other is under bombaredements and occupation.

They didnt convert. They decieved the idiots who held them. and i hail them for doing so . Now they are free and and non muslims again. No true belief is spread by the sword.

So it is not wise (e.g. we are not wise) to allow the Highest Christian authority to endorse his view publicly (at least when he offends the easily offended), but it is not only allowed, but encouraged to have Muslim leaders of countries, communities and groups say whatever they wish regardless of how hate-filled and ignorant they are about Jesus, Mary, Christianity and the Pope? Where is the logic in that?

Now as you contend in your third statement, we are silly, as well as un-wise. (Man, who has be insulted here? Case to declare a holy-war? Nah, we should pray instead… anyway…) Why defend your position when you can attack another and shift the focus? Try, try, try again.

You may never recall a scientist being punished by a Muslim ruler, and I am not inclined to do the research to prove you right or wrong, but I suspect you are wrong simply based on the large number of people executed by Muslim rulers and regimes for a myriad “crimes” and “heresies”.

I do listen meedo, at least I try, but the actions of so many Muslims speak so loudly that I can not always hear what you say.
