Wow, that’s awesome. I had no idea that could happen in a European nation. 😮

I guess Poland really is different after all. The rest of Europe must think the Polish are just a wee bit off, to put it mildly.

Being of Polish descent I can say…We’re just that good (and don’t forget St. Jadwiga/Hedwig) - jeszcze polska nie zginęła 🙂

This is why Poland retains Christian identity:

This song might be the most popular of traditional Polish songs, something that is passed from mothers and fathers to their children. It unites generations.
So what you say?
Polish culture more than others knows that Christian transformation is not about conquest and power but about kindness and gentleness. Babes change the world, not kings. Or as it is expressed in our family, “little ones come first”.

Cultures of violent dominance washed over Poland from both directions in the 20th century. And those efforts came to nothing.
A Pope played probably the largest role in the collapse of atheist Soviet Union.

How many legions has the Pope? Good question. The Polish people provide a definitive answer.

Filipinos are the lifeblood of the Archdiocese of Vancouver too. At one local parish, even with seven Sunday Masses, it’s often standing room only - not to mention long lines all day long for confession… primarily thanks to Filipinos.

Poland has stayed very faithful to Catholicism, to this day is probably the most Catholic country.
  1. They consecrated their nation to Mary. They stopped their royal bloodline to officially make Mary queen of Poland – in 2016, they made Christ King of Poland.
  2. They have taken many beatings – from Communism to Nazism, the Poles have been attacked from all sides. They have stuck close to their faith and are strong people. They resisted as best they could. Their new battle is potential Islamic infiltration. They have worked hard to keep Muslim migration from coming in – not because they don’t love them, but because they recognize the threat, have seen what has happened to their neighboring countries, and know what it might mean for them.
  3. They take family VERY seriously. Walk around Poland and you’ll see many young families, many big families, and they love their faith. Many teens take mini pilgrimages to Our Lady before exams. There is a chapel built out of salt because the salt minors wanted to have a place to pray on their breaks. This whole spirit continues within Poland.
It is a very special place and God has continued to bless them.

Italy and Portugal unfortunately have become increasingly more Atheist. On a cultural level, they identify as Catholic, but in practice, they arent what they once were.

Is there an article about #1? I don’t doubt it i just want to read more

Another interesting fact about Poland:
The citizens of Poland have the world’s highest count of individuals who have been recognized by Yad Vashem of Jerusalem as the Polish Righteous Among the Nations, for saving Jews from extermination during the Holocaust in World War II. There are 6,706 Polish men and women recognized as Righteous to this day, over a quarter of the total number of 26,513 awards internationally.

It is estimated that hundreds of thousands of Poles concealed and aided hundreds of thousands of their Polish-Jewish neighbors. Many of these initiatives were carried out by individuals, but there also existed organized networks of Polish resistance which were dedicated to aiding Jews – most notably, the Żegota organization.

Yes, but I wouldn’t know which article to send since it has been in place since the 1600’s. Google “Mary Queen of Poland” and you’ll find the whole history of it.
