As I remember, I read something about this in The New Advent Catholic Encyclopedia, but I can’t remember where it was located. You can put in search parameters, such as “taxation” or " tax", and you might find it.

Thanks for responses. He’s in heaven with a solid opinion haha Also, I know he wrote a lot but I am not good at searching through Vatican documents… I’m a new Catholic. I’m trying Catholic Encyclopedia… no luck yet, but hope’s still there!
