What is odd about you....?

I prefer books to e-readers and the like.

I can spend days alone quite happily.

I used to detest classical music, then it suddenly ‘clicked’ with me.

I’ve often had dreams where something happens only for said event to then happen in real life, often down to tiny details.

My personal tastes are often quite ‘masculine’ and with it, people often joke that I am really a man in disguise.

I prefer speaking Croatian to English, which is annoying as I don’t live near any other speakers.
 
This is an old thread, but a goodie.

I have to sympathize with the poster who mentioned having conversations with yourself. I used to do this a LOT as a kid, and when I get anxious or stressed I still do it as an adult. 😊

(It is handy, though, if I’m out and public and musing aloud to myself, and there is a kid sitting in front of me in the shopping cart! I can involve him in my musings and then it’s not so weird. ;))
 
You know when people say that it is better to have tried and failed than to have failed to try?

Not for me. My failures haunt me for years.😦
 
What is odd about me?
  1. I was born prematurely and I didn’t breath for well over five minutes. Doctors told my mom I would be mentally disabled, but I began learning to read at two and was labeled a gifted child. I was reading my physician neighbor’s medical books at seven after going through an entire set of encyclopedias.
  2. Instead of two kidneys, I have one big kidney with two connected lobes.
  3. I was far-sighted as a child. As an adult, my eyes switched to near-sighted.
  4. I have a tolerance for sedatives. Doctors must give me extra to put me out, and I say really weird things before I go under and as I’m coming out of it.
  5. I have a high tolerance for pain. Twice I broke bones as a child. No one believed me at first because I didn’t display any pain. I had to explain that I saw the bone bend and heard it crack and insist on being taken to the doctor.
 
I prefer the fall and winter months, not for the weather but I just love it when it gets dark early.

I can play the piano, but have never taken lessons.

I dream things that often end up happening.

I’m vegan and somewhat active in animal rights.
There aren’t many other Catholics in those groups, and not many vegans/activists in Catholic circles, so that makes me the odd one out in both.
 
Everything and nothing, so I’m not sure. I’d have to ask someone but I’m not sure I want to know. :o
