I have noticed that on the bread, and on the priest’s robe there is a P, with an X going through it. Does this stand for St. Pius? What does it symbolize?
The symbol you’ve seen on the priest’s vestments is called a chi-rho, a depiction of an interlocked chi and rho, the first two Greek letters in the title Christ. The symbol then is a symbol of Jesus Christ.
