What is radical sanation?

What is the doctrine of “radical sanation”? It was quoted as a response to the question of whether a priest can counsel one to commit a sin that prevents you from receiving communion.
 
Hi,

I don’t know how a radical sanation fits into the situation you quoted. But I do know that it is the convalidation ( the making of the marriage to be valid) of an invalid marriage without the couple having to restate marriage vows.
