Dear All,
Could anyone please tell me what is Regnum Christi exactly?
Could anyone please tell me what is Regnum Christi exactly?
Thanks Mat. Next question: is there any of it in Indonesia??I’m a member.
The point of Regnum Christi is to advance the Kingdom of Christ in the world, hence the name. Regnum Christi members are people in the world whose faith is meant to shape the world in every field and area of life, from school to the coffee shop to the board room, and especially our parish.
We have a unique Christ-centred spirituality, and are very dedicated to prayer and personal formation. Members make a commitment to lead a regular prayer life (gospel reading and reflection, meditation, rosary, angelus, morning and evening prayers every day, daily Mass if possible, weekly adoration), and meet regularly to study and share faith in small, local groups.
We have as chaplains and spiritual advisors the Legionaries of Christ, who are excellent, Orthodox priests who are devoted almost exclusively to forming Regnum Christi members.
It’s a great group, and really helps increase one’s faith. Also, if a young who has a vocation joins Regnum Christi, in my experience he’s almost guaranteed to discover it before too long.
If you have any specific questions, you can PM me.
Mat.

I thought I saw something once showing that the Legion was active in Indonesia, so I would suppose so. What you need to do is find the Legionary Priest nearest you, learning about RC, and then get incorporated. Even if you are the only Regnum Christi member in your area, you can find good Catholic people and build it up. Many Regnum Chrisit members are quite isolated (myself included, the only one in about a hundred mile radius), but are building up organizations. When you’re as determined to serve Christ as Regnum Christi, nothing will stop you. Be warned that we are often criticized, but the criticisms don’t hold a candle to the good work that is done. Thanks Mat. Next question: is there any of it in Indonesia??
I read about it and is interested to join if it’s possible.
Hi Mat, Thanks for your encouragement. I subcribed the site and asked them to send me the daily prayer so I may start to do it by myself. I do want to give time for God because of I have received many things from HIM.I thought I saw something once showing that the Legion was active in Indonesia, so I would suppose so. Hi Thutch, How did you feel when you attended to their meeting?? Do you feel that you were called??The people I know who are part of Regnum Christi are very devout, orthodox, and spiritual Catholics. It seems like it is a wonderful movement to be part of if you are called to it. I was part of a Christian Life group which was run by Regnum Christi (though I’m not a member of that particular organization myself, I was allowed to attend the meetings). Those who participated in it were very devout.
Hey, sorry it’s taken me so long to respond. There were several reasons why I left, none which had to do with Regnum Christi itself (which truly is a wonderful movement); it was more with a general conflict between personalities that was not going to be resolved. The short version is that everybody there was a very good, obedient, orthodox, faithful Catholic, and I’m the complete opposite. I really didn’t belong there. They never asked me to leave, it was completely my decision. The other members were very friendly, so I hope that my saying that doesn’t make you think that if you aren’t up to a certain standard that everybody will want you to no longer be part of it. I hope if you do feel that you are called to it though that you will answer that call! The members of Regnum Christi truly are very joyful people who are really at peace with their lives. It would be a wonderful organization to join!Hi Thutch, How did you feel when you attended to their meeting?? Do you feel that you were called??
