I guess what I and asking is, what is sacred about human life? From the moment of conception to death. I hope this makes sense.

God did not create a rock, dog, tree etc in His image and likeness - only us!

Not that God’s creation is not precious - humans stand alone in being created in the image and likeness of God.

I will pray that you can come to an understanding of how all life is sacred. No matter a baby at conception or those whose life does not seem useful the others.

Each of these may be the source of another’s salvation. Only God knows and I trust Him.

Thank you. An acquaintance asked me this question, I answered to the best of my ability however I sensed she wanted more answers which is why I can here.

Because each man is imbued with a spiritual immortal soul, thus he is in the image and likeness of God.

From WOMB means really from conception, that moment a man and woman, create a living being. This act of creating a human being, is the fulfillment of GODS desire to perpetuate His own creation, which He called man. He is the first and only creator of existence. He is often called, OUR CREATOR. So think of the womb as a safe harbor protecting Gods love and desire for eternity, this is surely what Sacred is as concerning the womb.

Tomb, a scary and mysterious word for most all people. It is nothing more than a place to put a body of a human that no longer has life. Because we humans have emotions, feelings, understandings about life and those individuals we shared our lives with, we continue to love those who have died by doing something with respect and love with their remains, even though they are not still alive to interact with us. We are saddened by the end of our communication with those who we were emotionally tied to.
God is LOVE. Those who have died, have experienced existence because God created them in the WOMB. They are physically in a tomb, placed there with love and compassion because they were once in a womb

Humans are the only living things in existence that have a supreme gift from GOD. That gift is a soul, a gift that gives you and I the ability to realize that we created for something, we were not created for nothing. There is a purpose for the life and death of us all. We can think, understand, and realize that once we were created we will exist
forever. The soul is that sacred part of us that gives us faith, hope, and charity for not only ourselves but for other humans, from womb to tomb. Sacred is loving and protecting what is Gods wonderful gifts to us. Be glad and rejoice of your existence by
remembering that GOD has given YOU life. It is so valuable that it truly is SACRED.

Frin conception to its natural end, a human life is continuous. the blueprint of how that life will unfold is set from the very beginning. There is at no point along the chain of human development when the human life in question is anything other than a human life, anything other than an individual developing according to plan.

So it follows that if a human life is sacred ( of immeasurable worth) at any point along the journey, it is sacred at all points along the journey. Its worth is inherent to itself and not instrumental to how another might measure its worth.

That a life is sacred is a statement of faith, a self-evident truth, if you will.

It is also a foundational belief, for we live under the constant threat of death. To live takes will. A civilization that begins to destroy life, such as Greek civilization did after Alexander when they decided they could not be bother to raise girls and engaged in a female infanticide campaign, was destroyed soon enough by the Romans who shared no such delusions of the real worth of life.

A civilization that is intent on destroying its life at the source, that does not recognize the inherent sacredness of a human life, but measures a life in terms of its usefulness in any given situation, is a society that is decadent and dying.

This is not just happening on a societal level, as in times past. This is happening on a global level right now. That is unprecedented.

**I have experienced loved ones and friends of loved ones - die slowly and painfully. When one close friend suggest that the medical profession just “end his life” I was inspired to say that perhaps her father’s illness was for the salvation of her soul - or another loved one.

All life is sacred. Does not matter if it is a newly conceived baby in the womb or a lingering end of life. For as long as the soul is within - conception to natural death - the Divine is present…and therefore sacred.

I will pray for your conversation with your acquaintance.**

Thank you everyone for all of your responses! I truly appreciate every single one of them.
