Hi,
I haven’t been able to find much information online about what or who Sophia is? What is Sophia in Eastern Catholicm?

The answer is the same as when you asked it in the non-Catholic forum. Sophia means Wisdom.

Not an Eastern Catholic, but I would drop my two cents: sophia (σοφία) is a Greek word which means ‘wisdom’.

The Hagia Sophia in Constantinople for instance is dedicated to the ‘holy wisdom’ of God, that is, the Logos Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 1:24, 30), as the dedication feast of the church would tell you (December 25), but because sophia is a feminine noun in Greek some people have assumed that it was dedicated to a female saint named Sophia.

If I get married and father some daughters, one of them is going to be named Sophia. 👍 A beautiful and delightful name. 😉
